Press release | Serge Caron named CEO of the company
Amos, January 23, 2023 – Rouillier Drilling has appointed Serge Caron as its new CEO. Caron had previously served as Director of Operations since 2015. This advancement will allow Mario Rouillier, President of Rouillier Drilling, to concentrate on the development of the company.
A natural choice
Serge Caron’s background makes him the perfect person to take the helm; he has a master’s degree in geomorphology and 28 years of experience in the mineral exploration industry in Quebec and Ontario. His experience as president of Foramex (2005–2015) and Geos Sciences Inc. (1997–2010) will also be of great benefit to the company and its employees.
“Serge was the obvious choice to succeed me as CEO of the company, as he was already performing many of the duties on a daily basis. This appointment is to the company’s advantage, as it will allow me to focus on its development,” says Mario Rouillier, President of Rouillier Drilling and the Groupe Rouillier.

By retiring from his CEO duties, Mario Rouillier will be able to focus his energy on growing the Groupe Rouillier and training the next generation. He also sees this opportunity as a chance to focus on strengthening partnerships with communities.
