UL 2724 ECOLOGO® CERTIFIED SINCE 2019
The UL 2724 ECOLOGO® certification is now the standard on how to approach a mining project and carry it out from start to finish. We are proud to have been the first in Canada to obtain this certification for service providers in the mineral exploration sector.
It reinforces our commitment to being a socially responsible company. In addition to guaranteeing a certain rigour in our practices, the certification allows us to reassure local and Indigenous communities and to create jobs.
A DECADE OF DEVELOPMENT PROCESS ALONGSIDE THE UQAT AND THE QMEA
We are proud to have participated in the implementation of this new standard with the collaboration of the Quebec Mineral Exploration Association (QMEA). Rouillier Drilling also participated in the research projects conducted by the Chaire en entrepreneuriat minier UQAT-UQÀM.
The certification initiative was created in response to mineral exploration stakeholders’ and investors’ concerns about compliance with environmental standards and the social acceptability of projects.
The UL 2724 ECOLOGO® certification was the first Canadian certification for mineral exploration companies and the first initiative of its kind in this industry worldwide. Find out more about its origins on our blog.
