Rouillier Drilling is first and foremost the story of a family man, Marcel Rouillier, who decided to invest himself, heart and soul, into his company.
Mario Rouillier, the founder’s son, has been running the company for nearly 25 years now.
One thing led to another, and Rouillier Drilling made its way onto the Quebec market to become a leader in the drilling industry in Eastern Canada.
Its strength and reputation are the result of its focus on excellence, long-term commitment and customer satisfaction.
What has defined us since the very beginning is our professionalism, and the fact that we always put customer satisfaction first while prioritizing innovation, performance, teamwork and safety.

Groupe Rouillier operates in diamond drilling and the manufacture of high-performance machinery.
The private family company includes surface and underground drilling companies, such as Rouillier Drilling, Avataa Rouillier Drilling, Youdin Rouillier Drilling. The group also includes MBI Global, a manufacturer and distributor of comprehensive coring solutions.
With a team of more than 300 skilled employees, Groupe Rouillier has mastered the art of meeting its clients’ needs and expectations. The company is also committed to respecting the laws and regulations aimed at protecting the environment and ensuring the health and safety of its employees, which has made it an established and respected company in Canada and abroad.
Alliance with First Nations
Forages Rouillier has joined forces with Indigenous communities. This is how Youdin Rouillier Drilling and Avataa Rouillier Drilling came to be.
Youdin Rouillier Drilling was born from an alliance between Rouillier Drilling and Ted Moses, an influential personality and businessman who is a proud supporter of the integration of Crees into the economic development of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Nord-du-Québec regions. Youdin Rouillier Drilling’s mission is to develop and strengthen the economy of northern Quebec, particularly by supporting mineral exploration.
Avataa Rouillier Drilling is a diamond drilling services company operating in Nunavik with the valuable partnership of Charlie Watt Jr. and Christine Nakoolak. Its mission is to use the human and material resources of the region’s Inuit territories to grow the economy.
UL ECOLOGO® certified for mineral exploration
Rouillier Drilling was the first company to obtain the UL 2724 ECOLOGO® certification for service providers in the mineral exploration sector. We are even prouder to have participated in the development of this new standard with the collaboration of the Quebec Mineral Exploration Association (QMEA).
This certification supports our desire to be socially responsible and to prioritize environmentally friendly practices for the benefit of future generations.
