Niobec is one of three main niobium producers in the world, and is located in Saint-Honoré in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. This mine currently accounts for roughly 8 to 10% of the world’s production, varying with the annual shifts in global supply and demand. Established in 2011, Niobec has been a property of Magris Resources since January 2015.
Rouillier Drilling has been active at Niobec for close to 10 years now with a continuous contract, operating one or two underground drills with a high yield.
